A Neighborhood Beer Hall with Soul
Tucked on Clement Street in the heart of the Inner Richmond, Steins has been San Francisco's go-to German beer hall and sports bar since 2011. We're family-owned, women-owned, and proudly independent — a place where the neighborhood comes to eat, drink, and cheer together.
Step inside and you'll find Bavarian benches, international flags draped from the ceiling, Hofbräu bar mats on the counters, and the unmistakable hum of a crowd watching the big match. It's warm, a little loud, and full of character — exactly how a beer hall should feel.

Don't take our word for it — here's what the neighborhood thinks.
Best beer selection in the Richmond, hands down. They have Hofbräu and Paulaner on tap and the Früh Kölsch is a rare find. The bartenders know their stuff and the pours are generous. This is my go-to spot.
We came for the Premier League match and stayed for the bratwurst. The atmosphere is incredible — flags everywhere, people cheering, communal tables. Feels like a real German beer hall dropped into San Francisco.
Family-owned and you can tell. The staff is genuinely friendly and remembers regulars. The Wienerschnitzel is legit and the pretzels are the best I've had outside of Munich. Love this place.
